Ombre nails

Two colors and no line between them. The blend is done while the gel is still soft, which is why an ombre is the set that most depends on the hand doing it. Twenty-four of them below.

Design ideas: these are generated references for a style. None of them shows a KuQueen session, and we do not publish a client’s nails without asking her first.

The baby boomer is the one most people mean: a sheer pink at the base melting into white at the tip, and it is the reason ombre became a wedding set. The same technique takes any two shades, which is what the rest of these are.

Direction is a choice and nobody tells you that. Most ombres run from the cuticle to the tip. One here runs across the nail instead, rose on one side and cream on the other, and it reads as a different set entirely on the same two colors.

A soft blend suits a short nail and a strong one suits length, because a gradient needs room to happen. On a short round nail keep the two shades close together. On a long coffin they can be as far apart as red and black.
