What this site records
Two things here send us information: the booking form on the contact page, and the message bubble in the corner of every page. This says what each one records and where it goes, so you can read it before you use either.
How much each one takes
Three things on this site send us something. Each square below is one piece of information: a filled square is something you type, and an outlined square is something the site adds by itself. The three it adds are the same three every time.
The booking form
On the contact pageseven you type, four added
The message bubble
In the corner of every pagethree you type, four added
The careers form
On the careers pageeight you type, four added
The booking form
It records what you type into it:
- your name
- your email address
- your mobile number
- the area you are in
- the service you want
- when you would like it
- your message
And, with it:
- the page you sent it from
- the page that sent you here, if your browser shares it, and any campaign tags in the address
- your IP address
- the date and time
The message bubble
It records what you type into it:
- your mobile number
- your message
- your email address
And, with it:
- the page you sent it from
- the page that sent you here, if your browser shares it, and any campaign tags in the address
- your IP address
- the date and time
The careers form
If you apply for work through the careers page, that form records what you type into it:
- your name
- your mobile number
- your email address
- your town
- which area you are in
- the work you are applying for
- how much experience you have
- anything else you tell us
And, with it:
- the page you sent it from
- the page that sent you here, if your browser shares it, and any campaign tags in the address
- your IP address
- the date and time
Applications are kept apart from bookings: their own log file and their own email, so an application is not mistaken for a booking request.
Counting visits: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
Pages here load Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to see which pages people read, which buttons they press, and where a booking gets stuck, so we can make the site easier to use.
Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your rough location from your IP address, your device and browser, and the actions this site reports to it: opening the booking form, a form that did not send, a booking or message that did, a tap on “Text us” or the phone number, opening the message bubble, and how far down a page you scrolled. It never receives your name, email address, phone number or anything you typed.
Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, which it can play back as a recording of the page. Every form on this site is hidden from it, so a recording shows an empty box where you typed.
Both set cookies to tell one visit from the next. Google Analytics sets _ga and
_ga_NCQNVSKE0T on this site, kept for up to two years. Clarity sets
_clck, kept for a year, and _clsk, kept for a day, on this site, and
Microsoft sets CLID, MUID, MR, SM,
SRM_B and ANONCHK on its own addresses, clarity.ms and
bing.com. What Google and Microsoft keep, and for how long, is decided by them and
is set out in their own privacy statements.
The addresses involved: Tag Manager loads from www.googletagmanager.com, Google
Analytics receives at www.google-analytics.com (or
region1.google-analytics.com), and Clarity loads from www.clarity.ms
and scripts.clarity.ms, syncs its cookie through c.clarity.ms and
c.bing.com, and sends what it records to one collection address under
clarity.ms that Microsoft picks for each visit, such as t.clarity.ms,
y.clarity.ms or e.clarity.ms.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, none of this loads unless you press Accept on the banner. Everywhere else it loads by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here, and Reject stops it loading on every page after that.
Where it goes
Both are emailed to KuQueen, and both are written to a log file on this website’s own server, one file for each month.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which sits in front of it. Cloudflare sets a cookie
called cf_clearance in your browser to tell visitors apart from bots. It lasts
about a year, and it is marked so that scripts on this site cannot read it. Cloudflare also
keeps its own record of requests.
Cloudflare also adds a small counting script from static.cloudflareinsights.com,
its own visit counter. Pages here also load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and
Microsoft Clarity, set out in the section above. Every address a page reaches that is not
this one, and every cookie set, is named on this page, and both are checked against it in a
real browser before anything ships, so if either changes this page has to change with it.
What Cloudflare holds, and for how long, is decided by Cloudflare. This page does not state it, because that is theirs to answer and not something measured here.
Asking us to take an entry out
You can ask. Text or call 0966 943 5766, or use the booking form, and say roughly when you sent the message so we can find it.
How long entries are kept is not set down yet, so this page does not claim a period. When the owner sets one it will be written here.
